Administrative Staff

Elizabeth Reed is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law and Barnard College. Before incorporating Company C Contemporary Ballet in 2002, Ms. Reed practiced law in New York and California.

Joseph Candeloro trained as a dancer at Rudra Béjart, Lausanne, Switzerland. Mr. Candeloro holds a Bachelors degree in Economics and Management for the Arts and Cultural Activities from Ca’Foscari University in Venice and a Masters in International Cultural Management from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the University of Genoa.  In 2009 and 2010, he served as the Assistant Director of Dance at La Biennale di Venezia in Venice, Italy and from 2002-05 he was Marketing and Promotion Manager of the Theater of Ferrara, Italy.  From 1996-2002 he was an assistant to the Tour Manager for Lambo Productions in Lausanne, Switzerland, handling international tours for Tokyo Ballet, Bahia Ballet and Soloists of the New York City Ballet.  

Valerie Anne Dixon, joined Company C Contemporary Ballet as the Development Director in November 2011. A Texas native, she began her career as a professional campaigner for Garry Mauro’s gubernatorial bid for office. In this capacity, she coordinated high-profile events which headlined President William Clinton, First Lady Hillary Clinton and Vice President Al Gore. After the campaign, Ms. Dixon embarked upon a successful marketing career with Papa John’s Pizza in Texas and in New England. Ms. Dixon’s non-profit work began with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Boston and in Wisconsin. Prior to moving to California in 2010, Ms. Dixon worked as the Executive Director of Madison Ballet in Wisconsin. It is her goal to help bring Company C Contemporary Ballet’s mission forward, increasing the organizations visibility and broadening its fundraising initiatives. Ms. Dixon is supported by her husband Sidney and their two children, Madeline and Reece.

Annette Summers joined Company C Ballet in February 2012 to reconnect with her dance roots and provide professional marketing support to the arts. She financed her Undergraduate Business Degree at the University of Southern California and her Masters in Business at the University of San Francisco by performing as a professional Modern, Jazz and Polynesian dancer.

Prior to joining Company C she spent more than 15 years in senior management roles focused on establishing and reinvigorating global BioMedical company brands by implementing highly successful marketing communications strategies. Her most recent role was as the Sr. Director of Integrated Communication at Affymetrix a pioneer in genomic research and diagnostic technologies.

Annette's goal is to bring the Company's beautiful and unique brand of contemporary ballet to broader regional and national audiences.
