Don McCartney - Graphic Designer
Don McCartney Design

Don McCartney is a graduate of Ringling College of Art and Design and has primarily been a publication designer and art director for books, magazines and newspapers. More recently, his work has expanded to include more marketing, advertising, logo and package design. In addition to doing all of the graphic design for Company C Contemporary Ballet,  his credits include: Rolling Stone magazine, U.C. Berkeley’s California Monthly, the San Francisco Examiner & Chronicle, AMERICA 24/7 (50 state books),  ANG Newspapers, The American Distilling Institute, Upland Brewery, Heartland Distillers, Pacific Union GMAC Real Estate, Carmel Cashmere and Company, Jersin Financial Services, as well as other retailers, wholesalers, institutions, and non-profit organizations. 


Jan Berletti and
Lynn Rothenberger - Wardrobe Mistresses

Jan Berletti and Lynn Rothenberger bring a combination of performing experience and sewing expertise to the wardrobe department.  Jan has performed professionally with Walt Disney World, the San Francisco Opera Ballet and Contra Costa Ballet.  Lynn formerly designed and marketed wedding gowns after a career in teaching cultural anthropology.  Together they have supervised the costumes for Contra Costa Ballet's the Story of Nutcracker for 12 years.  They both have grown children and find their maternal experience to be valuable as well.  They share a love of dance and can often be found in the audience when not backstage.


Alex Kort - Production Manager

Alexander Kort has been an active member of the Bay Area performing arts community since 1996.  He was on staff at the Brady Street Dance Center, Dance Mission, Theater Artaud, ODC Theater and more.  He has worked as a Stage Manager for the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, the Oakland East Bay Symphony, the Oakland Ballet, the San Francisco Choral Society, and San Francisco's Afro-Solo Festival.  Also a cellist, he has composed music for plays and dance performance and has toured the world as a member of Subtle, a group based in Oakland.  He currently lives in Oakland with his wife and son.


Kate Boyd - Lighting Designer

Kate Boyd designs scenery and lighting in the Bay Area.  Recent projects include the K of D at Magic Theatre, scenery and lights for Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris at Marin Theater Company and also for Bill Pullman's Expedition 6 at the Magic Theater.  She designed sets for Private Jokes Public Places at Aurora Theater, lighting for The Long Christmas Ride Home at Magic Theatre, scenery for The Marriage of Figaro at Center Rep.  Other sets include Splittin' the Raft at Marin Theatre, Blue Orange at Aurora Theater, Nickel and Dimed for Theaterworks and BRAVA.  Kate teaches design and stagecraft and was a recipient of the Gerbode Design Fellowship with the Working Women Festival.


Patrick Toebe - Lighting Designer

Patrick has designed lighting and scenery for theatre and dance companies across the US and Internationally.  The list of companies he has designed for includes Center Repertory Theatre, Woodminster Theatre, Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, Theatre of Yugen, Theatre Flamenco, Sacramento Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, Knoxville City Ballet, and Alabama Ballet. His most recent work includes scenic design for Little Women at Foothill Theatre Company, and lighting designs for the California Revels and for Theatre Flamenco's 2008 Tour.  Patrick teaches technical theatre and is the Theatre Manager at City College San Francisco.  He earned an MFA in Lighting and Scenic Design at San Francisco State University.
