MISSION STATEMENT
Company C Contemporary Ballet’s mission is to present a repertoire of choreography, contemporary in nature, that is moving, provacative, beautiful and entertaining. The Company celebrates individuality and diversity in its performers, choreographers and movement styles, which are united by the common language of ballet.
POSITION STATEMENT
Company C Contemporary Ballet is a repertory ballet company based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The fourteen-member ensemble is comprised of established professional dancers of diverse backgrounds and exemplary technical accomplishment. The Company brings to the stage works by nationally recognized choreographers whose work is shaping current trends in contemporary ballet.
CASE STATEMENT
Company C Contemporary Ballet’s annual season runs from January through October. During this season, the Company rehearses five days a week at the Contra Costa Ballet Centre in Walnut Creek, California. Artistic Director Charles Anderson and guest choreographers are assisted by Ballet Mistress Louise Fancher. The Company’s year round administrative staff includes Executive Director Elizabeth Reed, Company Manager Angela Evans and Administrative Assistant Kelly Thompson. Technical staff includes Production Manager Patrick Hajduk and costume designers, Stephanie Verrières and Kimie Sako. The Company’s artistic and administrative efforts are supported by a seventeen-member board of directors. A non-profit corporation, Company C Contemporary Ballet is funded by individual donations, grants from private foundations and ticket sales.
