The Oakland Dance Festival, is an annual showcase of distinctive performances that reflect the diversity and contrasting artistic visions of the Bay Area dance community. Each year, two professional dance companies are invited to perform with Company C Contemporary Ballet in June. The companies perform a full half hour section to demonstrate the style and quality of its company. A long-term goal of the Festival is to establish the Malonga Casquelourd Center for the Arts as a destination for the Bay Area's lively dance scene.
